On November 3rd, 4th and 5th, police motorcycle officers and motor medics will converge on Daytona Beach, Florida to compete in the Fifth Annual Police Motorcycle Skills Championship. The event is hosted by the Daytona Beach Police Department Traffic Unit and the Volusia County Sheriff's Office and will be held at Bruce Rossmeyer’s Destination Daytona with motor officers from all over the country battling it out for top prizes. There will be awards for the top riders and teams in each of the divisions. Bruce Rossmeyer’s Destination Daytona is hosting this event.
The purpose of the event is to provide motorcycle officers with a training environment to advance their skill of motorcycle operation and further their knowledge of these operations from different agencies around the country. This event is limited to the first 150 riders that register.
The Police Motorcycle Skills Championship will also serve as a fundraiser for Halifax Health Foundation for Speediatrics, 501(c) 3, Daytona Beach Police Foundation, C.O.P.S., and the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranch.
